The psychological profiling of the Kolkata doctor accused of rape and murder, Sanjay Roy, revealed that he is a "pervert and severely addicted to pornography," a CBI officer claimed on Thursday.

 The individual had a "animal-like instinct" and expressed no remorse for the brutal murder during interrogation at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, according to the officer.The CBI officer told PTI that Sanjay Roy expressed no remorse for the incident that sparked national outcry. He described the entire crime to the investigation agency without hesitation.

"The man expressed no repentance and detailed the entire affair, describing every detail without hesitation. "He appeared to have no remorse," the officer told the agency.

The female doctor was resting in the hospital's seminar hall after a 36-hour shift when she was attacked. The post-mortem report indicates that she was raped and badly beaten. She died as a result of strangling, having had 16 external and nine internal injuries.

Sanjay Roy was arrested one day after the crime. He was seen entering the building around the approximate time of the incident, and his Bluetooth headphones were discovered near the scene.

Several pornographic videos were discovered on Sanjay Roy's mobile phone. The officer stated that technological and scientific evidence indicates the accused's presence at the crime site.CCTV footage shows him walking around the chest department at 11 a.m. on August 8. At 4 a.m. on 9 August, cameras captured him entering the same building.The woman's death was expected to occur between 3 and 5 a.m. on August 9.

The CBI is investigating whether the victim's murder was the result of a bigger conspiracy. They have been questioning former RG Kar medical college principal Dr Sandip Ghosh for several days. They are considering polygraph tests for Sanjay Roy, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, and others. The Kolkata Police is also looking into claims of financial irregularities against Dr. Sandip Ghosh.

  Akhtar Ali, Sandip Ghosh's former coworker, claimed on Wednesday that he used to be involved in the "business of dead bodies".
